The short version: your spots stay yours. We never collect hunt units, trailheads, pins, or any location finer than a state.
What we collect
Account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
Profile: the display name, home state, bio, experience level, species interests, weapon types, hunting styles, target states, seasons, and any contact details you choose to add. Everything beyond display name and home state is optional.
Planned hunts: state, species, year, draw status, and — if you add them — weapon, season, camp style, and season window dates. That is the entire list.
Match questionnaire: your answers about fitness, logistics, ethics, communication style, experience, and self-reported draw points.
Messages and hunt history: messages you exchange with accepted connections, and hunts you log with partners, including reviews.
What we never collect
No hunt units. No trailheads. No GPS coordinates, pins, or maps. No location finer than a state. The app contains no geolocation code and we will not add any. No photos — profiles are initials only. No advertising trackers.
Who can see what
Signed-in hunters can see your profile (display name, home state, attributes, bio, planned hunts at state + season level, and your verified hunt history). Hunts marked “Going solo” are excluded from every list, count, and search — no one sees them but you.
Contact details are shared only on mutual agreement: when one hunter requests contact and the other accepts. Until then they are never shown, searchable, or included in any API response. Messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation.
Services we rely on
Rondy runs on infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (transactional email), Upstash (rate limiting), Sentry (error monitoring), and Anthropic (compatibility scoring — your questionnaire answers are sent for scoring; your contact details and messages are not). None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell your data, run ads, or share it with data brokers. Ever.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, planned hunts, connections, messages, match data, and sessions are erased. Hunts you confirmed with partners remain on their hunt log without your name, because they back the other hunter’s verified history.
Age
Rondy is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
